The Process
I’m very inspired by walks, flowers and stunning houses like Charleston in Glynde and women artists over time who have been overlooked like the women of abstract expressionism. I sketch and paint as I go and work very fast when I do paint. Walks with my young son usually see us stopping to admire the world around us in Sussex or Devon, with time for a quick sketch.
Back at home, I use either watercolours or acrylics to bring the painting to life whether it be abstract or floral patterns, whatever moves me that particular day.
I then digitally enhance my paintings, into the colourful abstract prints that become the backdrop for my yoga leggings, scarves, cushions and wall artwork.
